ASMR. A form of talking and acting that has blossomed an entire niche genre of YouTube and other entertainment platforms. Speaking softly and gently touching items, 'ASMR-ists' can elicit an involuntary pleasure response from their viewers. Can we get to the crux of why this happens, though, and maybe even how? Will doing so give us some incite to why ASMR has become so popular?
